You always hear the usual stories of pennies on the sidewalk being good luck, gifts from angels, etc. This is the first time I've ever heard this twist on the story. Gives you something to think about.Several years ago, a friend of mine and her husband were invited to spend the weekend at the husband's employer's home My friend, Arlene, was nervous about the weekend... The boss was very wealthy, with a fine home on the waterway, and cars costing more than her house.
The first day and evening went well, and Arlene was delighted to have this rare glimpse into how the very wealthy live. The husband's employer was quite generous as a host, and took them to the finest restaurants. Arlene knew she would never have the opportunity to indulge in this kind of extravagance again, so was enjoying herself immensely.
As the three of them were about to enter an exclusive restaurant that evening, the boss was walking slightly ahead of Arlene and her husband..
He stopped suddenly, looking down on the pavement for a long, silent moment.
Arlene wondered if she was supposed to pass him. There was nothing on the ground except a single darkened penny that someone had dropped, and a few cigarette butts
Still silent, the man reached down and picked up the penny.
He held it up and smiled, then put it in his pocket as if he had found a great treasure. How absurd! What need did this man have for a single penny? Why would he even take the time to stop and pick it up?
Throughout dinner, the entire scene nagged at her. Finally, she could stand it no longer. She casually mentioned that her daughter once had a coin collection, and asked if the penny he had found had been of some value.
A smile crept across the man's face as he reached into his pocket for the penny and held it out for her to see. She had seen many pennies before! What was the point of this?
'Look at it.' He said. 'Read what it says.' She read the words ' United States of America '
'No, not that; read further.'
'One cent?'
'No, keep reading.'
'In God we Trust?' 'Yes!'
'And?'
'And if I trust in God, the name of God is holy, even on a coin.. Whenever I find a coin I see that inscription.. It is written on every single United States coin, but we never seem to notice it! God drops a message right in front of me telling me to trust Him? Who am I to pass it by? When I see a coin, I pray, I stop to see if my trust IS in God at that moment. I pick the coin up as a response to God; that I do trust in Him..
For a short time, at least, I cherish it as if it were gold. I think it is God's way of starting a conversation with me. Lucky for me , God is patient and pennies are plentiful!
When I was out shopping today, I found a penny on the sidewalk. I stopped and picked it up, and realized t hat I had been worrying and fretting in my mind about things I cannot change.]
I read the words, 'In God We Trust,' and had to laugh.. Yes, God, I get the message.
It seems that I have been finding an inordinate number of pennies in the last few months, but then, pennies are plentiful!
And, God is patient..

I have recently added/acquired an exceptionally rare "English Silver Penny" circa. 1625-42 "minted by the Tower of London, in England) to my collection (it is graded "fine" circulated). The trouble I've recently run into tho, is I've researched this coin time and time again, but cannot quite find an "actual" value for this coin. If anyone can help me with this, please help (your knowledge and expertise would be indispensable).The history of this particular coin is exceptionally intriguing. It was minted under the reign of King Charles I in 1625 and lasted until 1642. Charles I was crowned 27th March, 1625 as the King of England. King Charles had an interesting reign, engaging himself in a power struggle between parliament, and himself (constantly it seems). what's really funny is Parliament especially loathed him, because he believed his "royal authority" to be that of divine right. Because of this, many of his subjects tremendously opposed him, and his actions (mainly that of his interference with English and Scottish Churches), but there were also times where he would levy taxes without the consent of Parliament, this particularly aggravated Parliament. But his naiveness eventually caught up to him, and by the latter part of his reign he was engaged in Civil War with Cromwell and lost, and by 1649 he was sentenced to death by execution.

He crawls to the object, pulls it out of the sand, and discovers what looks to be and old brief case. He opens it and out pops a genie. "Well, cowboy" ,says the genie..."You know how I work. You have three wishes"."I'm not falling for this," says Lucky Bob. "What do you have to lose? You’ve got no transportation, and it looks like you're a goner anyway!" says the genie. The man thinks it's over for about for a minute, and decides that the genie is right. "OK, I wish I were in a beautiful place plenty with food, drink, and people."***POOF***. The cowboy finds him self in the most beautiful place he could ever imagine. It was called the world of fantage! "Ok cowboy what is your second wish". Have rash, need help?, seriously...?
Ok, I have the possibility of having intercourse with this woman, but I have this problem, since about two weeks now I have this unbearable rash in my groin, just beside my scrotum. The itch sometimes is just hard to bear, although it rarely takes place during the day, mostly at nights. In general, the skin appears normal, but during the rash it feels slightly thicker than the rest. The need to scratch gets unbearable though, so after I scratch it will sometimes get quite sensitive, sometimes causing tiny tears int the skin which then sting for several minutes. I am using an antimicotic, but it doesn't seem to work, even used antimicotic spray (lamisil) recomended for such.I of course, will consult a specialist, but then there's this so rare occasion to have a date that probably would end up in intercourse, and would like to try something rather fast. So if there's someone that could help, it would earn you big points karma wise. If someone has gone through the same and could offer a solution, I'd really appreciate it. (And yes, you can laugh, I myself am actually doing it).
I'd like to add, in case you haven't noticed, that my sex life is, to coin a phrase, d.o.a. So no, it's not how I got it, ok? That's how come I care so much about the occasion, and hope for the best. Of course, jokes without suggestions will get no points, lmao.

What am I to do with my life? Can't think clearly...?
Here it goes: I am in my mid-twenties, I am in college, I have a good job (somewhat) for the moment, but I feel like nothing is going right. My parents cheated on each other when I was young, and that led to the death of my father due to alcoholism and drug abuse. I never really trusted women because of that...I have sought help, but I feel that it has done nothing for me. However, there was this one girl I have taken a liking to -- and it was odd. She is my supervisor, so we are not really allowed to date. I got to know her better, and it turns out she is exactly like me. Even the same life experiences. Her parents cheated on each other as well at a young age.
She read the same books I have, knows the same quotes, everything. Therefor, I was comfortable being myself around her. I have always shunned women away when they advance; I was always scared to get hurt. This woman I liked, and developed feelings for her. She complains all the time about how nobody likes her, that she is stuck up, etc. I talk to her about it.
I have taken her to places outside of work to sit and talk. She told me she was seeing another guy. I know of the guy, and he is a person who is divorced -- she always said she wanted to feel important and get married and stay together forever. Why would you want to be with someone who has already been divorced? When a marriage ends, it is because BOTH people aren't willing to make it work; regardless of what the other tells you -- it is mutual.
I was devastated... So, I told her we couldn't really talk anymore like that. She said she wasn't really ready for me to stop talking to her. I told her it was my decision. She then put her head down and said she had a lot to think about. Well, a couple weeks later, my friend said she was crying. So, I took her out again and did something special for her.
I purchased a 2-cent penny and showed it to her. I told her it was over 140 years old -- that is 2 lifetimes in this one coin. I told her we will both make a wish, and since there is only one coin, as long as our wishes do not contradict, they will come true.
I told her that there is something coming up in the month of August, and that it is something you can only do once in a lifetime. I told her to call me and let me know if she wished to go. She finally got back with me, saying she cannot. I asked her why, and she said it was because she was my supervisor.
I told her I am not talking to my supervisor; I am talking to the person outside of work. I told her to tell me the real reason. She said she can't because of her relationship -- one that she says she regrets being in, but yet she keeps going back. Perhaps it is because he has money.
I live at home to help my mother out because when my father died, he left her with loads of debt. If I do not stay here, she will be thrown out on the street. We really haven't any other family, so it sucks. I feel trapped. I feel like a complete loser -- and I can't help it. I do things with friends, but yet I always feel empty. I work out and I am toned -- I like my body, but yet I feel there is something wrong with me.
So... I texted her back and told her that our wishes contradict. I know they did...because I wished for her. I told her good luck in her relationship and that it is really over -- which I do mean. The greatest gift you can give somebody is comfortability enough to be themselves -- without having to prove themselves or worry about being judged. I gave her that. I felt I was actually warming up to someone. I did...but one of the rare times I did, I get shunned.
Now, I begin thinking about everything going wrong with my life... I have no other family except my mother, brother and sister... I have to live at home in my mid-twenties. I haven't enough care in me now to even try in school. I feel like I am alienated in my family as well because I am the only one attending college. I cannot stand this feeling.
People say there is someone out there for you, but where? I mean, is there, really for someone like me? I literally jump at the thought of a relationship, but yet I want one. I want to show a girl things that really haven't ever been seen before, yet, I look for the first reason to call off a relationship. What is wrong with me? She keeps saying she wants to be important to someone, yet she completely overlooked me for some other guy after I told her how I felt about her. I didn't confess love, for I don't, but I really liked her and thought there was something there. I felt I was meant to meet this person for a reason. When I say felt, I MEAN I FELT I WAS SUPPOSED TO MEET THIS GIRL FOR A REASON. I would have never done anything like that before. I know this is nothing new in the world. Perhaps it is cliche, but this stuff will always be new to me; I was never any good at it. Is there something wrong with me? What can I do?

What Kind Of Coin Is This?
I once recieved this coin while at work and took it home to my very meager coin collection (and yes, I replaced 5 cent back into my drawer). I've been told it's a very rare buffalo nickle by various people, but it does not have an Indians head on it. Instead, you can clearly make out a buffalo etched on the back, and a barely visable washionton on the front - both of which are facing right. The coin appears to be much thicker than the average nickle, but is also a tad bit smaller in diameter from an average nickle, possibly suggesting that the edges were intentionally rolled.Below is an image I took, the top row is where I've outlined on my computers paint program the etched markings of washionton (right) and the buffalo (left).
The middle row is the actual images untouched in the same order.
The bottom and last row was found off of google, and is what the nickle most resembles.

You can't see the date on it whatsoever. Not even any words. What you see in the picture is exactly what I'm looking at right now. Nothing else is visable. I didn't even see washionton in it until I took the picture!
And as I said, as you see this image is exactly how I'm seeing it. The camera depicts exactly how it looks - and yes, it is in terrible shape which leads me to believe it was done intentionally. If you were to look at this coin in real life as I am right now before my own eyes, it would look the exact same as that picture. No words, no date, nothing but the faint shapes which I outlined.
